Dexter Construction is a large, diversified Construction Company engaged in all major aspects of the heavy civil construction industry within the Atlantic Provinces. We are currently seeking the qualifications and expertise of a Maintenance Administrator based out of Moncton, NB.
Job Summary:
The Maintenance Administrator oversees all aspects of the day-to-day administration of the multi-shift maintenance department.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the processing of paperwork such as parts and service invoices related to the maintenance division. Ensuring all paperwork is being processed correctly and in a timely manner.
- Support maintenance planners in closing of work orders, as required.
- Update equipment hours into company software for New Brunswick fleet.
- Work in conjunction with other departments such as purchasing and accounts payable to ensure that the processes being used are most effective for all divisions.
- Maintain equipment files in compliance with MGOC policies.
- Work with the maintenance planners/ shop foreman to ensure that proper inventory, including critical spares, are kept either in stock or at vendors.
- Manage, develop, and maintain relationships with parts and service vendors.
- Cover stockroom clerk duties, as needed.
- Report any issues that could be of concern to the Shop Foreman or Maintenance Planner immediately.
- Perform other duties as required.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, and Experience:
- A minimum of two years’ experience in maintenance or administrative would be considered an asset.
- Able to deal with people tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times
- High attention to detail when completing tasks
- Ability to organize and prioritize work effectively
- Computer literate with MS Office suite (i.e. Word, Excel and Outlook)
- Working safely is a condition of employment.
