(Beaverhouse Band Members and Internal Candidates will be given priority)
Following the Mission Statement of the Beaverhouse First Nation Band Office, we are seeking a dedicated and energetic individual who will work with a dynamic team to perform the following duties:
· The Maintenance and Custodial Services Supervisor will be responsible for the care of all Beaverhouse First Nation Buildings and properties as well as maintaining the Beaverhouse settlement to the highest standards.
· Supervising workers/contractors and logging work performed as well as conducting repairs as needed.
· Provide outdoor maintenance of grounds, parking lots, windows, and sidewalks on a year-round basis.
· Knowledge of basic cleaning duties such as but not limited to garbage removal, cleaning and disinfecting of common rooms, bathrooms, and offices, as well as sweeping/vacuuming and mopping.
· Maintain organization of supply areas and equipment, document inventory, and request/purchase additional supplies as needed.
· Ability to operate cleaning, gardening and snow removal equipment, knowledge of cleaning and maintenance procedures.
· Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs.
· Be physically able to carry out all necessary duties. Must be physically able to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs.
· Ability to work professionally and always maintain strict confidentiality.
· Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
· Minimum 1-year experience in a custodial and/or maintenance environment.
· Good organizational skills with the ability to work independently.
· Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
· Valid Drivers license and access to a reliable vehicle.
· Valid Boating License.
Assets:
· Valid First Aid and CPR.
· WHMIS Training.
· Ability to work flexible hours.
