Maintenance Assistant

Responsibilities:
- Perform general maintenance and repairs on equipment and facilities
- Assist with troubleshooting and resolving mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues
- Conduct routine inspections to identify maintenance needs and ensure equipment is functioning properly
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to prioritize and complete work orders in a timely manner
- Assist in the installation of new equipment and systems
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area

****In addition to maintenance skills this role will include greenhouse labor tasks and duties. The job will fluctuate through the season between maintenance and production labor, the role does not require maintenance all the time so the role will require flexibility from the applicant to move between roles as work flow changes.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in facilities maintenance or a related field preferred
- Ability to perform basic repairs
- Ability to use hand tools effectively
- Basic understanding of electrical systems and components
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is a plus
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Salary: $16.00-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 48 per week
