Maintenance Planner/Scheduler

We are currently looking for a staff Maintenance Planner/Scheduler to work out of our location in Lantz, Nova Scotia. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Planner/Scheduler is responsible for the planning and scheduling of work activities within the Maintenance Department to support the Site Maintenance Plan for our Equipment Uptime/Reliability. This position is responsible for planned maintenance of all Site equipment.

Actively participate in Shaw Manufacturing safety program to create and maintain a safe workplace for all employees.

Maintaining the work request / work order system and supporting the broader Operations team.

Lead the coordination and allocation of resources to ensure maintenance programs are executed effectively.

Oversee the site spare parts stock room.

Ensure the proper parts and supplies are kitted to support the Maintenance Plan.

Maintain records around preventative and predictive maintenance to ensure continuity and effectiveness in those programs.

Participate in lean initiatives and projects as required and directed by maintenance manager.

Collaborate with the Manufacturing Team to create, measure, and improve operational KPI's.

Develop an understanding of the internal customers' needs to ensure an alignment with maintenance strategies.

Work to improve on maintenance scorecard metrics monthly.

Assist with the review of overhead expenses vs. budget and work to reduce costs with maintenance manager.

Completes other duties as assigned.

3 + years of Maintenance experience (Required)

Relevant post-secondary education or equivalent trade certificate/ certification (Required)

Experience in a manufacturing setting will be considered an asset.

Lean experience or training considered an asset.

Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and successfully collaborating with other team members. Self motivated.
