We’re looking for a Maintenance Supervisor to join our innovative lumber mill located near Vernon, British Columbia. Our Lavington Division is where Tolko’s story began over 60 years ago. Today, at Lavington, we safely and sustainably produce 238 million board feet of lumber per year for customers around the world so they can build their homes and their communities.
Our ideal candidate has the following qualifications:

• A minimum two years’ experience in mechanical and electrical trades maintenance and repair work in industrial plants, or any equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Exceptional organization and time management skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills are essential for this position.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Relevant experience in the wood industry, especially sawmill experience, is considered an asset.
• Ability to work a variety of shifts including weekends.

Your ideal workday will look something like this:

• You apply your technical skills and manufacturing experience to build regular and turnaround/shutdown maintenance plans to keep the mill running it’s best.
• You leverage your excellent planning and organizing skills to ensure staffing, tools, equipment and materials are in place to safely and quickly complete planned maintenance.
• You understandstores/spare parts management processes and know how to utilize the resources available to you and plan for the future.
• You partner with departments across the mill to deliver excellent customer service.
