**Job limited to Canadian citizens, permanent residents and persons currently residing in Canada with a Open work permit. **
Duties
· Conducts regular inspections of buildings to identify and correct any repairs required
before they become a major deficiency or present a hazard.
· Perform routine and preventative maintenance tasks within commercial and residential buildings in accordance with company standards and operating procedures
· Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on plumbing, electrical and mechanical systems
· Operations of building heating and mechanical equipment;
· Monitoring and maintaining indoor air quality and comfort;
· Ensure safe and efficient operation of service boilers, heat exchangers, ventilation systems and water supply systems.
· Conduct or coordinate regular and legislated preventative maintenance tasks on assigned equipment and systems to ensure safe and efficient operation, and longevity of assets.
- Clean fans, ductwork, grills, coils, and filters.
- Service Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems and auxiliary equipment.
- Respond to and complete repairs on plumbing, heating, ventilation and domestic water supply systems in owned and operated buildings.
· Maintain service levels and positive working relationships with clients & tenants
· Supervise contract and part-time maintenance staff as required
· Provides support to regional tradesmen and contractors to aid in the repair and
installation of electrical systems and in the completion of major carpentry repairs
· Completes work orders and log books for all maintenance and repairs to buildings,
works and mobile equipment in order to identify historical costs and work
completed on each asset
· Identifies supplies required to complete jobs and compiles material lists to ensure an
adequate stock of materials is available to complete required repairs in a timely
manner.
· Order replacement supplies in consultation with supervisor.
· Reports on work performed by contractors to ensure satisfactory performance and
compliance with terms of the contract.
Qualifications
· Valid Class 5 (or equivalent) Driver’s License required
· Several years of experience in the Building or Mechanical Trades and 3 years related.
experience in operating mobile equipment.
· Certified Housing Maintainer credentials preferred, Plumbing credentials accepted
· Class 5 Power Engineering Certification.
· Aptitude for how mechanical systems work, and a logical approach to trouble shooting, problem solving
· Self-motivated and enthusiastic mindset, can-do attitude and strong desire to learn
· Friendly, personable, professional, and customer orientated approach
· Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail
· Ability to demonstrate initiative and work well unsupervised
· Ability and knowledge to safely perform physical tasks, including bending, reaching, pulling, pushing and lifting up to 50 lbs., indoors and out, in all weather conditions
· Comfortable working at heights on a ladder, and a manual lift (applicable safety course training to be provided by employer)

Salary: $79,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
