Job description

Take on the exciting challenge of monitoring construction, major renovation and development projects within this public company, serving Montrealers.

Under the supervision of the Director of the Buildings Department, your mission will be to ensure the essential link between contractors, professionals, tenants and the different sectors, while representing the owner in an exemplary manner throughout the process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Management: Successfully coordinate major projects, ensuring contractors comply with applicable contracts, standards and regulations.
  • Advanced Collaboration: Work closely with the project director to prepare expert reports and actively participate in the three-year work program.
  • Transparent Communication: Interact with stakeholders through drafting opinions, written communications, and meetings, ensuring clear understanding and effective engagement.
  • Secure Supervision: Guarantee safety on Construction Sites by carrying out regular checks and ensuring the health of the premises during and after the work.
  • Rigorous Management: Closely monitor deadlines, quality of work, and manage the financial aspects of projects, applying enforcement measures if necessary. Organizes and participates in site meetings. Applies a process of grading sanctions and the coercive measures provided for in the contract (formal notice, late payment penalties, credits, etc.) when discrepancies are observed.
  • Exemplary Representation: Play the role of the owner and your employer on Construction Sites, by validating site reports, analyzing modification requests and participating in acceptance visits.

Requirements:

  • Education: College diploma in architectural techniques. Important ASP card for projects of 8 million and more. Possibility of doing training within the organization.
  • Experience: 3 years of experience in a similar role or 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Skills: Excellent knowledge of construction/renovation techniques, management of public contracts and reading plans.
  • Personal Qualities: Exceptional skills in communication, administrative management and interpersonal relations.
  • Language: Fluency in written and spoken French.
    Valid driving license, in order to travel to Construction Sites across the island of Montreal
