The Ontario Financing Authority (OFA) is seeking a strategic leader to join their team as the Manager, Data Analytics & Enterprise Risk Management
Ontario Financing Authority executes all borrowing, investments and financial Risk Management activities; manages the provincial debt; advises on financial policies and projects; and provides financials and cash management services and advice to the Ontario Electricity Financial Corporation.

Deliver on Business Goals and Priorities
Your leadership will be crucial in guiding the team towards the achievement of its business goals. It will be your responsibility to inspire and motivate your team to deliver their best performance and align the team's daily actions with the strategic vision of the ministry.
As the Manager, Data Analytics & Enterprise Risk Mangement, you will be responsible for:
• developing risk analysis using advanced tools for automation, systems efficiency, and performance analytics.
• developing new methodologies for risk measurement; forecast and analyze debt and interest on debt (IOD) for the Budget and fiscal updates.
• providing advice on performance measurement for the OFA's, borrowing and Risk Management activities.
• supporting risk control by providing special purpose risk assessment of the OFA's borrowing program
• managing all software vendor relationships, market data integrity, and apply innovative problem solving for technology and team resource management.
• maintaining and executing the Enterprise Risk program.
• demonstrating the leadership behaviours, attributes and mindset for leaders, across the organization, to lead the OPS into the future and deliver our vision.

How do I qualify?

Leadership Skills:

• You have experience managing a team of professionals delivering results through setting strategic plans and priorities, while effectively coordinating resources and assigning responsibilities to enhance the group's technical knowledge and ability.
• You are able to foster an inclusive, collaborative, work environment with employees and stakeholder partners and you are able to lead change by identifying/acting on opportunities while promoting innovation.
• You have excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills along with a strong sense of political acuity to deal with a variety of sensitive issues.

Technical Skills and Specialized Knowledge:

• You have a thorough understanding of the principles and practices of Risk Management and capital market hedging strategies.
• You have the ability to implement effective measures to plan, control, and account for the identification, assessment, measurement and control of financial risks.
• You have advanced knowledge of databases, Data Analytics, and operational system practices.
• You have of financial market trends, treasury Risk Management policies and operations.
• You have an understanding of financial and statistical modeling.
• You have an understanding of current and emerging trends, issues, and opportunities.

Issues Management, Communication and Relationship Management Skills:

• You are able to communicate information and vision with clarity and enthusiasm resulting in a shared understanding and commitment.
• You are able to explain complex business needs and issues in plan language to senior executives across the organization.
• You have experience building and maintaining relationships across the organization as well as external partners in order to gather input, build consensus, and deliver on priorities.
• You have political acuity and the ability to understand the government's priorities.
