Position Overview
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer this is a multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary role that requires the incumbent to collaborate across CHC and the WRHA. The incumbent should exercise political acumen cross-jurisdictionally such as with Shared Health, external funders, and partners. A significant expectation is to develop strategic and positive relationships with the public, specifically the community of Churchill stakeholders. 
Within their capacity this position works with all areas and departments to develop efficient and effective processes. This requires contributing to planning, education, implementation, and auditing/enforcing of such processes and improvements. The incumbent must be prepared for change management and be able to consider best practices. 
Within this portfolio, there are two focused areas: Decision Support and Community Services. While distinct, both areas operate in tandem in that Decision Support reports on the outcomes and outputs of community services activities, and that reporting is integral to quality and patient safety.
Experience
-A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a health care setting is required.
-Clinical experience in a healthcare setting is an asset.
Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)
-An undergraduate degree in a related discipline is required. 
-A Master’s Degree is an asset. 
-A combination of relevant education and experience will be considered.
Certification/Licensure/Registration
-Eligible for registration with applicable professional licensing body.
Qualifications and Skills
-Demonstrated leadership experience with a minimum of 2 years in a management role.
-Experience with the Accreditation Canada process an asset.
-Experience in a Health Information Services department in a leadership role and/or experience at working as team lead with a community organization is an asset.
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required to effectively present complex, controversial or sensitive information to multiple audiences including staff, executive leadership, patients, families, and external partners.
-Proficient interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain effective working relationships.
-Experience in change management, including implementing change organizationally.
-Intermediate level of proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
-Aptitude with or willingness to develop aptitude with Manitoba Digital Health applications.
 
This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred. A security check is considered current if it was obtained no more than six (6) months prior to the start of employment.

The WRHA legal entity includes Churchill Health Centre, Deer Lodge Centre, Grace Hospital, Middlechurch Home of Winnipeg, Pan Am Clinic, River Park Gardens, Victoria General Hospital, WRHA corporate programs, and WRHA community health services.
