Arnprior Regional Health is currently seeking a Manager, Food Services and Environmental Services. Reporting to the Vice President, Seniors Care/Community Programs and Administrator LTC the Manager, Food Services and Environmental Services is responsible for managing and directing the efficient and safe delivery of quality food, laundry, and housekeeping services for the Corporation’s patients, residents, staff, and visitors.
The incumbent will oversee the daily administration and management of the dietary and housekeeping(laundry) and Environmental Services, ensuring departmental goals are set and support the overall corporate objectives. The manager will carry out the responsibilities for the operations for all areas of Food Services and housekeeping(laundry) services, as well as human resources and financial management and budgeting.
As part of the Management Team, the manager will carry out the responsibilities above and in the interest of patient care and service, will be fully knowledgeable and committed to understanding and abiding by the corporation’s mission, vision and values while complying with applicable policies/procedures to include but not limited to, code of conduct, health & safety, confidentiality/privacy, risk management and quality improvement.
Qualifications for this position include:
- Post-secondary education in a recognized Food Services and Nutrition Management program
- Minimum five years demonstrated experience in a leadership role, in the health care sector or related services, including experience in a unionized environment
- Membership in Canadian Society of Nutrition Management.
- Knowledge of Dietary legislation and Food Services best practices (in accordance with the Long-Term Care Act)
- Demonstrated knowledge and skills of applicable health care and infection control standards
- Working Knowledge of the Long-Term Care Act
- Leadership competencies including operations management, managing people related problems, financial management and effective communication.
- Safe Food Handlers’ Certificate an asset
- Certification in WHMIS and JHSC would be an asset
- Satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Check.
