About the role:

As a Patient Access Manager, you will be proud to contribute to give timely access to all patients that need a Novartis product for their health and wellbeing. As part of the Novartis Value Access & New Product Planning (VA & NPP), you will be responsible for a specific portfolio and execute a thorough Patient Access strategic planning process in order to develop strategies that fully leverage the reimbursement potential for our Novartis products. In addition, you will closely collaborate with the Health Economics Managers in order to co-create the best HTA package needed for the reimbursement process.
This role reports directly into the Director of Patient Access at Novartis Canada.
Key Responsibilities:
• In collaboration with the Value & Access Director, leads the development and execution of a thorough strategic planning process in order to develop strategies that fully leverage the reimbursement potential of major public and private formularies across Canada for their brands;
• With the extended VA & NPP team, create the integrated Access plan including policy, health technology value, pricing, stakeholder engagement and innovative payer and health care system solutions;
• As a brand and clinical expert, support the clinical and PE evidence used in support of brand reimbursement and prepares recommendations to correct the most important gaps;
• Liaises with Global VA & NPP teams to ensure timely input for Canadian access plans
• Determines optimal brand value proposal and new innovative agreements in supporting the NCP manager to secure broadest access possible and timeliest formulary listing for the portfolio;
• Develops and maintains strong understanding and intelligence of the health economics environments and its dynamics; pro-actively signals important changes to functional teams;
• From the strategy, develops the messages, tools and operational plans to be executed at the field level;
• Post listings, continuously develop and adapt access strategies based on changes in the environment and the competitive landscape in order to improve or stay the leader in the therapeutic area.
