BD Diesel is looking for a Manual Machinist Technicianwho will be responsible for the performing activities necessary to continuously improve the creation and delivery of value to our customers.
This position reports to the Transmission & Turbo Supervisor.

Shift Timings
7am to 3:30pm, Monday to Friday with overtime available
As a member of the Machine Shop Team, you will:
- Interprets manufacturing drawings
- Sets up and operates drill press and band saw
- Sets up and operates manual milling machines
- Sets up and operates manual lathes
- Sets up and operates HAAS CNC Lathe
- Sets up and operates Honing machine
- Sets up and operates surface grinder
- Operates MIG welder for repairs
- Operates TIG welder for repairs
Who You Are?
- Experiences 4th level Apprentice or Journeyman Preferred
- Key Performance Indicators (KPls) include: individual and team safety, quality, and productivity results.
- Demonstrate respect, honesty, trustworthiness, integrity, team player characteristics, and emotional intelligence.
- Working knowledge in all four English language skills: reading, writing, speaking, and listening. Basic math, analytical and problem solving skills. Working knowledge of Windows operating system and ERP software as required.
- Must be capable of wearing personal protective equipment necessary to comply with government and company safety standards.
- Vision correctable to within normal ranges is essential for performance of work, observation, inspection, and preparation of documents. Required vision abilities include close vision, and ability to adjust focus.
- Regularly required to stand, walk, use stairs, sit, and kneel. The ability to remain in a stationary position as well as the ability to move about is required.
- Strength: Manually lift and/or move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Minimum 5 years of production experience as a machinist in a manufacturing setting
