Primary Job Duties and Accountabilities
- Responsible for overall management including day-to-day marina operations, dock maintenance, and general property management
- Ensure maximum marina occupancy for annual, summer seasonal, winter seasonal, and high season transient moorage
- Execute moorage renewal contracts in a timely manner
- Recruit, train, and supervise a small team of dockhands and maintenance / cleaning personnel in daily activities with ongoing positive team-based approaches
- Maintain professional relationships with clients and tenants through effective communication and issue resolution
- Ensure a high level of client satisfaction by delivering consistent customer service
- Optimize use of reservation, point of sale, and inventory program
- Perform moorage payment transactions and related banking tasks
Job Qualifications
- Tourism or business management experience or equivalent
- Customer service experience
- Experience in employee training and development
- Knowledge of boating, navigation, and marine terminology (ideally with knowledge or experience of boating in local waters)
- Ability to move quickly, lift up to 50lbs, and work outdoors in all weather conditions including rain and hot weather
Preference given to those with VHF Operators License and Pleasure Craft Operators Card
The candidate will be available to start April 1st, (negotiable) with a 3-month probation period, after which we offer a group insurance plan. Qualified candidates will be contacted for an initial interview by March 16, to take place on site the week of March 18.
