Are you passionate about understanding consumer behavior and sharing insights to influence business decisions and enhance the shopper experience?

As a Market Research Specialist and a member of the consumer insights team, you will work in close collaboration with internal stakeholders to provide actionable insights that drive decision making. You’ll flex your research skills by supporting key initiatives (such as consumer panel, brand and advertising tracking, voice of customer, and strategic research).

We practice a remote first working model, leveraging in person interactions at our head office, in beautiful Vancouver, BC, for strategic, collaborative and social purposes.

What you’ll do:
  • Assist with all aspects of consumer research projects including drafting questionnaires; programming and testing surveys; monitoring fieldwork and quotas; data tabulation, analysis and visualization; and clearly summarizing actionable insights in reports
  • Monitor and help drive member engagement with the Best Buy consumer panel, including preparing member hub content, assisting with annual membership recruitment, and managing the member mailbox
  • Support the voice of customer program operations including analysis and reporting, data quality monitoring, testing/QA survey changes, and managing quarterly sweepstakes draws.
  • Respond to ad hoc research requests from internal stakeholders by sharing relevant data and insights and helping translate information needs into clear research objectives
  • Regularly interact with research suppliers and technology vendors

What we’re looking for:
  • 2-4 years of consumer research experience with a leading retailer, company or research supplier
  • Advanced knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research principles and methodologies
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Data savvy with a strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Prior experience using Voice of Customer (VoC) tech platforms (e.g. Alida, Qualtrics, Confirmit)
