Portage Transport is currently seeking a creative, outgoing, organized individual to fill the Marketing and Recruitment position. The successful candidate will work to create job ads, marketing and hiring material, recruit, and onboard Portage Transport’s growing family of Operators. The current job position is not limited to the following:
Key Responsibilities:
· Create and launch media campaigns for talent attraction, conducting market research to grasp talent trends, and optimizing digital media to meet hiring goals
· Recruit, pre-qualify, screen and assist Operators with employment applications
· Collaborating with internal departments for the development of promotional opportunities, creative messaging, and content creation.|
· Ensure a positive candidate experience for internal and external candidates by driving service excellence from point of attraction to offer acceptance
· Support a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion with talent acquisition initiatives and partnerships.
· Assure operator training is completed with every active driver
· Design promotional materials for the website, social media, and physical exhibits
Education and Qualifications
· 2+ Years’ experience within a supply-chain and/or a recruitment environment would be considered an asset
· Strong creative background with proven results
· Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work with minimal supervision
· Ability to communicate effectively in a courteous and professional manner; written and verbal
· Thrives on pressure and teamwork
· Class 5 driver’s license required for travel between locations
