Red Barn Market is looking for individuals who want to be part of our meat department team.We can train you to cut all proteins: beef, chicken, and pork. We are looking for team members that have a positive and energetic personality and enjoy working with the public. As a Meat Clerk, you’ll play a vital role in our meat department. Your responsibilities will include handling, preparing, and displaying various cuts of meat. If you have a love for food, attention to detail, and enjoy working in a dynamic environment, we’d love to have you on board!
Responsibilities:
- Meat Preparation: Cut, trim, and package meat according to quality standards
- Display and Presentation: Arrange meat products in our cases in an organized manner, ensuring proper labeling and rotation.
- Maintain Cleanliness: Keep the meat department and work area clean, sanitized, and organized.
- Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, track expiration dates, and communicate restocking needs.
- Compliance: Adhere to food safety guidelines and regulations.
Qualifications:
- Passion for Meat: A genuine interest in different cuts of meat and their preparation.
- Customer Service Skills: Approachable, friendly, and willing to engage with customers.
- Physical Stamina: Able to lift heavy items and stand for extended periods.
- Team Player: Works well with colleagues and contributes to a positive work environment.
- Availability: Flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
