MEAT CLERK

Type – Permanent Full-Time

Location – Yonge St at Lawrence Ave

What you’ll do:

• Provide great customer service by ensuring the store shelves are stocked and by responding to customer needs

• Receive and verify incoming orders.

• Cut meat, arrange on tray, wrap and price as required

• Replenish and rotate products in the display coolers

• Take and record temperature of food and food storage areas such as refrigerators and freezers

• Follow department safety procedures at all times

• Maintain a safe and clean work area including counters, work tables, trays and equipment

• Set up company-directed promotions and programs

• Keep department areas neat and ensure health and safety standards are met

• Additional related duties as assigned by Meat Department Manager

What you bring:

• Previous experience in a grocery retail meat department or specialty store setting is a strong asset

• Willingness to train on meat-cutting skills

• Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills

• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends

• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time
