Job description

Tricor Automotive Group is looking for a Mechanical Claims Adjudicator Supervisor to assist in building a growing team of Claims Adjudicators for a new office in New Brunswick, Canada.

This position will start as a hybrid position that will turn into a full in-office environment.

The ideal Mechanical Claims Adjudicator Supervisor will be a Master Mechanic or have experience as a Service Manager and will be responsible for (1) Supervising and building a team of adjudicators as well as (2) Adjudicating Mechanical Claims on extended warranty service contracts, servicing a fluctuating caseload of new and ongoing claims within department service standards, and supporting all of Tricor Automotive Group's clients.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Communicate with repair facilities and field inspectors to verify coverage for claims being made.
  • Review previous repair history and maintenance records to verify coverage under the service contract and when necessary, authorize inspections to determine the extent of the company’s liability.
  • Accurately estimating the costs of repair, replacement, or compensation associated with a covered repair.
  • Negotiating labor times with service departments using nationally published labor/parts price guides.
  • Negotiating prices for automotive parts and, when necessary, ordering parts according to company guidelines.
  • Building positive working relationships with service advisors within the network of automotive dealers as well as independent repair facilities.
  • Review, approve or deny claims, that have been sent for escalation, and high-dollar claims.
  • Answer and resolve escalated calls.
  • Monitor team performance, aiding when needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or general education degree.
  • Residency within the New Brunswick Province area.
  • Minimum of 5 years mechanical industry related experience as a Master Mechanic or within a Service Department Management role.
  • 2 years of previous automotive Mechanical Claims Adjudicator experience, service advisor or parts experience.
  • Bilingual (French, Spanish) is a plus.
