Job Title: Mechanical Engineering Project Manager

Primary Job function: Design mechanical H.V.A.C, plumbing, drainage for buildings and tenant improvements. Liaise with clients, attend meetings, provide design direction, and review designers’ drawings as well as manage a team of 2 – 4 designers.

Essential roles and Responsibilities:

· Mechanical design for H.V.A.C, plumbing, drainage, and fire protection systems

· Organize and coordinate design staff to meet project deadlines and budgets

· Client relations

· Drawing review and markup

Required Skills:

· Mechanical engineering design for HVAC, Hydronics, Plumbing, Drainage

· Extensive knowledge of Building codes, Energy codes, plumbing codes, fire codes, ASHRAE Standards

· Proficient in HAP, AutoCAD, Revit, Microsoft office, Bluebeam

· Multi-tasker

· Thrive in a fast-paced working environment

· Good communicator

· Strong Intuitive and proactive manner with problem-solving mindset

· Ability to concentrate on multiple tasks

· Ability to review, interpret and apply building codes in different jurisdictions

Required Experience:

· 5 – 10 years working experience in the building industry with a background planning and executing projects as part of a project team.

· A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering

· Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng), P.Tech, C.E.T. (10 years)

· Project Management Professional (P.M.P.) considered an asset

· Autodesk, REVIT, AutoCAD working knowledge and mentor team members/EIT
