About the role:
We are looking for experienced and passionate professionals to help us achieve our ambitious mission to leave no cancer patients behind in Oncology. As Medical Advisor, you will be contributing to the development and implementation of a cross-functional launch strategy to ensure maximal patient access and to expand scientific knowledge and deepen Medical Expert understanding of Novartis’ products within the treatment landscape.
The role reports directly into the Novartis Canada Medical Director of Oncology and will work closely with the Hematology cross-functional team.
Key Responsibilities:
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Lead the development and implementation of an insights-driven Canadian Medical Strategic and Tactical Plan for an assigned product/disease area through cross-functional collaboration and alignment as part of the Global/Local Integrated product and strategy planning process.
• Maintain network within Novartis global organization to facilitate prompt obtention of data and/or scientific guidance related to product/disease area.
• Provide medical expertise in support of regulatory dossier, labels, product information documents (ex: product monograph) and risk management plans.
• Review and perform medical risk/benefit assessment of Managed Access Program requests for off-label use of Canadian Novartis hematology products.
• Assess external requests for collaboration / funding / support of research activities related to Hematology Products.
• Serve as medical lead on any Novartis-led research initiatives implemented to address an evidence gap or implementation gap associated with an Hematology Product (or associated indication) in line with the integrated evidence plan.
• Medical/scientific review of promotional, non-promotional and training materials tailored to the needs of the product/franchise and according to Novartis Canada’s compliance guidelines as well as Canadian laws and regulations.
