Medical Device Reprocessing Technician Instructor

We are currently hiring a full time Classroom Instructor to support our growing needs in the Medical Device Reprocessing Technician Program.
Instructors are responsible for providing instruction to learners in a classroom and clinical setting, evaluating learner progress, contributing to the development instructional materials, and supporting learners in meeting the learning outcomes of their courses and program outcomes.
Provides Quality Instruction in Courses as Assigned
· Instructs courses as assigned.
· Selects instructional strategies to meet learner needs.
· Creates lesson plans.
· Supports development and updating of curriculum, guides and rubrics as requested.
· Evaluates learner performance on an ongoing basis and provides learners and administrators with learner progress reports.
· Maintains official records as required.
· Facilitates learning within variety of settings.
· Familiar with classroom routine
· Excellent organizations and interpersonal skills
Provides a Positive Learning Experience for Learners
· Supports learners navigating various challenges (for example: attendance; conduct, performance).
· Identifies areas of concern and refer to the Program Coordinator if follow up is necessary.
· Refers learners to other institutional supports as required (for example: tutoring, counseling).
· Builds and Maintains Relationship with Internal and External Stakeholders and promote the Department and the College.
· Keeps current regarding changes in best practice and adapts facilitation as required.
· Assists with articulation and transfer activity for learners as required.
· Maintains a networking relationship with employers of MDRT's.
Other Duties /Special Projects
· Follows ABES College Policies and Procedures.
· Completes any professional development requirements.
· Other duties as assigned which are deemed necessary to support colleagues in their roles or support the College in achieving its goals and objectives.
Job Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
Current Certification through HSPA (formerly IAHCSMM) required.
Job Types: Full-time, Casual
