We are looking for a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) who is collaborative, engaging, and flexible, to join us in our Medical Department based out of Atlantic Canada.
About the role:
The Medical Science Liaison is a field-based Medical/Scientific expert who serves as a key scientific partner to healthcare providers/organizations, and internal UCB colleagues.  As an MSL at UCB, you will be responsible for executing key medical strategies to enhance care and positively impact patients living with chronic neurologic diseases.
Who you’ll work with:
You will be working alongside a team of 6 Medical Science Liaisons in the Immunology Patient Value Unit spread across the Canadian landscape.  This position reports into the Field Medical Lead. Complementing this team is the Head of Field Medical Strategy.  This is a diverse team of medical professionals who utilize creative approaches to finding solutions that work effectively in a constantly changing environment.  They have well developed interpersonal skills and uphold the values of UCB in every internal and external interaction.
What you’ll do:
-You will be required to maintain deep scientific knowledge in the areas of Immunology.
-Identify, establish, and maintain collaborative relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), clinical specialists, and researchers to conduct scientific exchanges in the specific areas of focus.
-Serve as a scientific expert at key medical and scientific conferences, advisory boards, clinical investigator meetings, and internal meetings.
-Conduct education programs that aim to enhance Key Opinion Leaders understanding of unmet clinical needs.
-Support and collaborate with field-based cross-functional teams to provide medical insights and expertise.
 
Interested? For this role we’re looking for the following education, experience, and skills:
-You must have an MSc degree and minimum 2 years of demonstrated experience of success as an MSL.
-The ability to clearly articulate complex scientific concepts in 1:1 and group settings.
-Regular travel is required within the territory and attending company meetings, conferences, etc. (including overnights and some weekends; national and international).
-Immunology disease experience strongly preferred (Rheumatology and Dermatology).
