Merchandising Associate

We are currently hiring a Merchandising Associateat our Riverside Drive location in Corner Brook, NL.

Job Responsibilities:

• Comply with all company policies and procedures regarding health and safety
• Acknowledge and assist customers in locating merchandise in a prompt and courteous manner
• Ensure shelves are stocked according to store standards and price labels are in place
• Organize and face product on shelves
• Create and replenish product displays
• Ensure price changes are done in a timely manner and promptly correct any price discrepancies
• Clean shelves and maintain a clean, tidy, hazard free sales floor
• Report missing or damaged goods to management
• Assist with cycle counts and inventory counts as required
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors and managers

The Ideal Candidate:

• Strictly adheres to all safety rules, policies and procedures
• Is punctual and reliable
• Is able to follow direction and work with minimal supervision
• Pays attention to detail
• Is results-oriented
• Has excellent time management skills
• Is able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Is willing to learn and use computers

Previous experience in building supply/hardware sales would be considered an asset, however, is not essential.

A criminal record check is a requirement of this position.
