Metal Forming Flighting Machine Operator

Accu-Twist Ltd, in Rosenort Manitoba is a manufacturing company specializing in the production of flighting. Our flighting is used in grain augers, agricultural equipment as well as screw anchors and a variety of other implements and shipped world wide.
No experience related to Flighting Machine operation is required however, being mechanically inclined is a necessity.

We are looking for someone who likes a challenge and is ready and willing to learn to run this unique machine.

Requirements:

-Must be self motivated
-Must be a Team Player
-Attention to detail
-Read Blueprints
-Must be mechanically inclined
-Must speak English and Low German is an asset
-Flexible and willing to help out as needed with other jobs.
-Previous experience in the manufacturing industry would be an asset

Duties Include:

-Set up and operate one or more Metal Forming Flighting Machines

-Clean and maintain Metal Forming Flighting Machines

-Operate Shears & punch presses

-Inspect finished products for correct shapes, dimensions, quality performance and other specifications

-check proper thickness of materials using micrometers, calipers and other devices

-Select and transport material to work area

-Document work completed

-Tending to receiving products

-Load, unload and move products, materials, and equipment by hand and by forklift

-Perform other material handling activities such as checking materials, counting, weighing, sorting, crating and uncrating

-Operate overhead crane to load and unload (heavy)materials to and from transportation vehicles and to store and retrieve materials, products and equipment

-Operate forklift, loaders, trucks and other equipment to transport material and (heavy) equipment to and from the transportation vehicles and to store and retrieve materials, products and equipment.

-Package finished products for shipping

-clean and maintain shop area, receiving and shipping area as well as business yard
