You are the product subject matter expert, passionate about helping customers solve challenges through the delivery of ongoing solutions that reduce risk and manage costs.

 

This individual is responsible for creating, coordinating, and executing the Microsoft customer acquisition strategy for the Microsoft SMC (Small, Medium, Commercial) Accounts. This includes growing sales and adoption of Microsoft products through sales training and enablement, developing, and executing competitive sales tactics while staying current with market and product trends. Successful execution will also require strong management of the local Microsoft partnership.

 

What you'll do:

 

  • Tailor Product Strategies: Partner with internal and external resources, including customers and our sales teams. 
  • Drive assigned product revenue growth by supporting new and existing customer opportunities. Promote Professional Services and Managed Services to drive growth.
  • Customer Calls: Provide pre-sales support to sales and customers. Be the SME to address inquiries and demonstrate the value of Microsoft solutions.
  • Scale Customer Engagements: Engage with local Softchoice sales teams as their Microsoft subject matter expert to sell jointly into customer accounts.
  • Facilitate customer events to deliver Softchoice content, including webinars.
    • Campaign Collaboration: Identify new market opportunities. Support the demand generation strategy and sales activation campaigns. 
  • Internal Training: Develop and deliver training for Softchoice sales teams.
  • Stay Informed: Ongoing personal development through certificates, training, and general curiosity to stay ahead of the curve. Active contribution to insights, best practices, and success stories. 


What you'll bring to the table:

 

  • A deep understanding of Microsoft Products (Azure) with strong technical proficiency.
  • 5-7+ years of technology-related sales or product consulting role (Microsoft products preferred).
  • Microsoft Certifications: AZ-900 minimum.
  • Consultative Selling Skills: Proven ability to engage in consultative selling, understanding customer pain points, and positioning Microsoft products as solutions to those challenges.
  • Adaptability: Ability to adapt quickly to changes in technology, industry trends, and product updates, ensuring continued relevance and expertise in Microsoft solutions.
  • Presentation and communication skills: Ability to understand and articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strategic thinking & execution: Ability to develop sales and business strategy options, while also being able to successfully execute plans and build strong relationships.
  • Bilingual English/French preferred.
