What role you will play in our team
Are you passionate about automation, and enjoy working in a highly collaborative and challenging environment?  We currently have an opportunity with our Kearl automation team working to support our two large oilsands plants.  Working in our team, you’ll support day to day engineering challenges related to plant automation/Mine Automation, with the objective of optimizing safety, reliability and production.
What you will do
-Provide efficient and effective support to autonomous operations while enhancing overal application usage via the examination of current practices and implemented solutions.
-Investigate and find solutions to any truck stoppage issues in the field.
-Optimization of application and field operations
-Help develop Standard Procedures for Deliverables and Engineering/Design Specifications
-Ensure necessary mine data is provided to the corporate network in a reliable and secure manner.
About you
Skills and Qualifications
-Currently enrolled in Bachelor Degree program in Mining, Computer, Electrical, or Systems Engineering
-Previous engineering or field experience considered an asset
-Able to work independently in a team environment
 
Preferred Qualifications/ Experience
-Experience with Windows, MS Office, Active Directory
-Programming knowledge such as python, VBA, powershell, SQL
-Basic TCP/IP networking knowledge
-Strong written and verbal communication skills.
-Preference for candidates with IT/OT experience.
-Preference for candidates with past mine planning experience
