- Current enrollment in an undergraduate Mining or Civil Engineering program at an accredited post secondary institution
- You must be returning to full-time studies after the work term
- Please attach your most recent transcripts with your application
Responsibilities:
- Utilize engineering software to create mine & tailings designs and maps as required
- Support planning teams to issue mine & tailings plans to operations on a daily, weekly, or longer term basis
- Analyze dispatch data and produce various reports for operations stewardships
- Support material balance activities in the mine & tailings of oil sand, overburden, and tailings
- Access to the field available in Fort McMurray based roles; field tours with engineering and operations personnel to monitor construction performance
- Assist engineers with various design scopes of work for execution in mine & tailings operational areas
Location and other Key Details:
- This is a 4, 8 or 12-month work term starting in May 2024. You will be asked to indicate your availability in your application
- Location: Fort McMurray (Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo)
- Relocation assistance will be provided if required
