Minimum Requirements:
  • Current enrollment in an undergraduate Mining or Civil Engineering program at an accredited post secondary institution
  • You must be returning to full-time studies after the work term
  • Please attach your most recent transcripts with your application
Responsibilities:
  • Utilize engineering software to create mine & tailings designs and maps as required
  • Support planning teams to issue mine & tailings plans to operations on a daily, weekly, or longer term basis
  • Analyze dispatch data and produce various reports for operations stewardships
  • Support material balance activities in the mine & tailings of oil sand, overburden, and tailings
  • Access to the field available in Fort McMurray based roles; field tours with engineering and operations personnel to monitor construction performance
  • Assist engineers with various design scopes of work for execution in mine & tailings operational areas
Location and other Key Details:
  • This is a 4, 8 or 12-month work term starting in May 2024. You will be asked to indicate your availability in your application
  • Location: Fort McMurray (Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo)
  • Relocation assistance will be provided if required
