AddressJOB PURPOSE
The Laboratory Information System (LIS) Coordinator is responsible for providing operation and system support for the Laboratory Information System. This position may supervise an LIS Analyst.
QUALIFICATIONS
- A Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science degree or a graduate of a school of Medical Laboratory Technology.
- Must be registered with the Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science and licensed and in good standing (a practicing member) with the New Brunswick Society of Medical Laboratory Technologists.
- Must have three years of related experience.
- Ability to attend work on a regular basis.
- Ability to perform the duties of the position.
- Good work record.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Laboratory Information System (LIS) Coordinator is responsible for:
- Providing troubleshooting, consultation and support for all LIS modules
- Coordinating and delivering LIS training
- Participating in monitoring and planning system utilization and expansion
- Providing customized and routine reports
- Acting as a primary contact with the information system supplier
