Job Description
The crane operator performs the various loadings of material as well as any other handling of equipment, requiring the use of his machine and proceeds to the various weighing’s of material which enters or leaves the yard.
- Receive the metal and deposit it in the appropriate place;
- Unload the trucks and check the quality of the stock;
- Transport containers of non-ferrous material;
- Perform hardware identification tests using appropriate products or magnets;
- Take inventory of the material in stock according to the established schedule;
- Record reporting, the weights of material going in and going out the site;
- Lubricate, if necessary, the different parts of the machine that require lubrication;
- Wash the machine when required.
- Perform other labourer duties as required.
Qualifications
- Ability to drive and operate a excavator heavy vehicle;
- At least 1 year of experience in a similar role.
Additional Information
HEALTH AND SAFETY
- Must work in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Regulation and follow in accordance with AIM’s Health and Safety policies and procedures
- Responsible for reporting all accidents, illnesses, or ‘near miss’ incidents to management
HOURS OF WORK
- Permanent full-time position
- 44 hours per week, able to work extended hours/weekends when deemed necessary
