Mobile Patrol Guard (Full-Time Nights) - Lethbridge

Commissionaires is a not-for-profit provider of security services that operates across the nation. There are now 15 divisions representing all of the provinces of Canada and three territories. Commissionaires Southern Alberta is responsible for providing professional security services for Calgary, Red Deer, Lethbridge, Medicine Hat, and Suffield. Job Purpose

The Mobile Driver is a vital role by providing support in responding to unforeseen situations, site patrols, alarm response and/or emergencies. The Mobile Driver is at times asked to rely on their training and their knowledge of Post Orders to be able to assist with last minute notices for shift coverage due to illness, late staff or last minute GSR’s.

Shift Schedule

As part of our ever-expanding work force, we are looking for safe minded drivers for full time employment to work between Monday to Sunday night/overnights. The shift schedule will be 2100 to 0500.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

· Residential and site patrols

· Alarm response

· Vehicle maintenance; which include cleaning, fueling, vehicle inspections, etc

Secondary Duties and Responsibilities

· Site coverage for sick calls, no shows or new Request For Service (RFS) / Guard Service Requests (GSR)

· Deliveries for bank deposits, mail (registered & regular post), uniform requests or time sensitive documents

· Delivering or picking up vehicles from sites, mechanics or other services

· Static or GSR site visits; which can include ensuring staff are in proper uniform and know their responsibilities,

· Wellness checks

Functional requirements

· Must have valid Security Licence

· Must have valid class 5 drivers license (Non GDL)

· Must have valid Emergency or Standard First Aid Certificate

· Must have a clean drivers abstract.

This role requires you to get a reliability security clearance, which would require you to have been living in Canada for the past 5 years.

Skills requirements

· Must be flexible and adaptable as every shift will be different

· Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

· Average computer ability and knowledge

· Able to use technology with ease (phones and applications)

· Ability to complete tasks with little to no supervision

· Strong communication

Working Conditions

Afternoon, night or overnight shift

· 8 hour shifts; shifts will be 2100 to 0500 between Monday to Sunday. Please note this is a full time position.

· Extended periods of sitting and driving vehicles. Also, the possibility of extended walking or standing if tasked with a shift coverage.

· 3 month probation period
