THE ROLE:
Maintain safe and secure environments by patrolling and monitoring premises and personnel. As a Mobile Security Guard for Backwoods you would complete patrols and protect assigned property. You would promote and enforce safety, as our guards act as a visible deterrent against irregular activity.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
- Maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by patrolling and monitoring the construction site in Gunn, AB
- Access control: Permit authorized persons entry to site when required, administrative and technology responsibilities when applicable
- Working throughout surrounding areas for Mobile Patrol
- Prevent losses and damage by reporting irregularities, inform violators of policy and procedures; restrain if necessary
- Control traffic by directing drivers
- Complete daily Field Level Hazard Assessments (FLHA’s) and Daily Occurrence Reports (DOR’s) and Incident Reports (IR’s) when required
- Inspect Backwoods vehicles, notify Field Manager when service is required
- Maintain environment by monitoring and setting building and equipment controls
- Arrive for your shift on time. If you know you will be unable to fulfill your duties, you must communicate with the On-Call Supervisor ahead of time
- Able to work efficiently and effectively as part of a team
WHERE YOU'LL BE WORKING:
- Weekends; 5:30am - 5:30pm
- Work outdoors in all weather conditions when required, work indoors, at building sites, or at industrial sites.
- Adhere to all company office policies and safety procedures
- Driving Backwoods truck in all weather conditions; advise Security Coordinator when service is required
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations, such as driving within speed limits
- Overtime and weekend work may be required
- The positions considered in this posting are local to Edmonton, AB and surrounding areas.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
- 1 Year experience or more in Mobile Security
- ABST training/AB Security Guard License
- Required certification: Class 5 Driver’s License, First Aid/CPR/AED
- 3 Year Personal Driver’s Abstract (Less that 6 Demerits)
- Objectivity, emotional control, and dependability
- Able to follow complex instructions, both written and verbal
- Knowledgeable about security operations and procedures
- Site orientations as needed and requested
