Responsible for:
- Manage and document repairs and maintenance of injection moulds through electronic systems
- Disassemble, clean, change parts and reassemble moulds
- Evaluate processes to increase production efficiency
- Work with 2D and 3D drawings
- Fabricate basic components related to moulds
- Proficiency with electrical components on moulds (hot runner systems)
- Follow 5S in the tooling shop
- Perform emergency repairs in-between hot dies
- Complete any work required on work order and manage inspection reports
- Process purchase requisitions for mould parts and supplies for the tooling shop
- Maintain inventory of critical parts and supplies (hot runner systems, tips, valve gates and gate inserts)
- Maintain tooling storage area
- Follow and comply with Cube Management System (CMS)
- Other duties as assigned
- Work with production to reduce scrap, downtime and improve efficiencies
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge/Qualifications
- Completion of Apprenticeship Program and/or 5-10 plus years of Mould Making and/or mould repair and maintenance experience
- Strong command of English language (speak, read and write)
- Must be proficient in computer skills (ERP/MRP/Scheduling, Microsoft Office, etc.)
- Must have strong communication skills/team player Injection Moulding experience required
- Possess good mechanical and machining abilities
- Ability to operate all tool room equipment, including overhead crane
- Experience in thin wall, multi cavity and stack moulds for consumer packaging, and commercial products
- Ability to read engineering drawings
- Demonstrate high degree of accuracy and pay close attention to tolerances and quality

Working Conditions:
- Typical office environment and works for extended periods at a computer workstation
- Standard hours of work are Monday-Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm or otherwise agreed upon with your Supervisor – on occasion there will be the need to work outside of these hours or alternate hours.
