For those wanting to stay for the full summer season this position will transition into a lift attendant position upon completion of the attraction build.
Essential Functions:
- Painting and restoration of lift facilities
- Operation of chairlifts during maintenance procedures
- Adhere to established safe working procedures and always wear the proper safety equipment.
- Inform supervisor of the need to order materials as required.
- Perform daily maintenance and safety checks on all equipment and tools.
- Load, unload, and identify building materials, machinery, and tools, and distribute them to the appropriate locations, according to project plans and supervisors’ Directions.
- Maintain a clean working area free from dirt and debris between tasks and at end of day.
- Perform various forms of labour to assist in the successful completion of projects from start to finish.
- Maintain and operate company vehicles safely & efficiently.
- Work in a manner that focuses on the safety of both guests and employees.
- One season of lift operation minimum preferred
- Valid driver’s license
- Previous mechanical/electrical experience strongly recommended.
- Ability to read, write, and speak in English. Eyesight must be 20/20 or corrected to 20/20 using corrective lenses.
- Must be able to work at heights more than 20 feet using safety harness and fall protection equipment.
- Lifting of heavy equipment and parts (50 lbs.) may be expected during routine maintenance.
- Prepared and able to stand in a relatively stationary position for extended periods up to 8 hours to perform specific maintenance functions.
- Elevated work platforms that limit movement during standard maintenance may be part of the work environment.
- Be prepared and able to endure extended periods of equipment operation. Adverse weather should be expected.
- Be prepared and able to work extended hours (10 plus hours/day) safely and in all adverse working conditions.
