MSC1119H (0.25 FCE) Epigenetics Applications in Human Health and Disease
This 6-week modular course is designed to expose graduate students to the field of epigenetics, its applications in normal human development and to examine the different aspects of epigenetic alterations that could lead to disease. The course is designed to address the knowledge and skills gap in the emerging field of epigenetics. It will provide hands-on tutorials to help graduate students understand how, where, when and why epigenetic marks are important and how to study them.

-Sessional Lecturer II - $20,243.53 (Y, full course) & $10,121.77 (H, half Course, 0.5 FCE) includes 6 per cent vacation pay;
-Sessional Lecturer II Long Term - $20,653.23 (Y, full course) & $10,326.62 (H, half Course, 0.5 FCE) includes 6 per cent vacation pay;
-Sessional Lecturer III -$20,725.52 (Y, full course) & $10,362.76 (H, half Course, 0.5 FCE) includes 6 per cent vacation pay;
-Sessional Lecturer II Long Term - $21,140.03 (Y, full course) & $10,570.02 (H, half Course, 0.5 FCE) includes 6 per cent vacation pay.
 
Qualifications: Applicants must have a minimum PhD degree in the sciences. Applicants must have practical knowledge of genetics and epigenetics, as well as work or research experience in genetics or epigenetics. Applicants should have some teaching experience at the graduate level.
Duties: The Sessional Lecturer will be responsible for the following duties: preparation and delivery of course content; the development and marking of course assessments; calculation and submission of grades; holding a minimum regular office hours of 1 hours per week.
