Network Analyst

Prairie Rose Public Schools is seeking a Full Time Network Analyst to join the IT team at our Division Office in Dunmore, AB. Prairie Rose Public Schools is committed to engaging and empowering all learners and prioritizes strong instruction, response to intervention, and wellness.

Description:

Reporting to the Director of IT, the successful candidate will work professionally and collaboratively with the IT team to ensure that secure and reliable network and server infrastructure is available for our students and staff. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Network Design and Implementation, Network Security, Troubleshooting and Support, Network Monitoring and Optimization, Documentation, Policy Compliance, Training and Education, Upgrades and Maintenance. The Network Analyst will work collaboratively with other IT professionals, school administrators, and staff to understand technology needs and provide effective solutions. In addition, the successful candidate will work with vendors to procure and implement network-related technologies that best serve school and division needs. Our ideal candidate will exhibit a willingness to engage in professional development and an ability to adapt to evolving technology and business needs.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science Degree, major in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field from an accredited University; required
• Microsoft Server or HP Server certification
• Google G-Suite Administrator
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals
• Strong Microsoft PowerShell skills with the ability to write and troubleshoot PowerShell scripts
• Strong understanding of Microsoft Workflows
• Relevant work/industry trained experience may be considered in lieu of certifications
• Proficiency in networking protocols and technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP. VPN, VLANS’s)
• Working knowledge of network operating systems
• Strong communications skills; both written and verbal
• Proven analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills
