POSITION OBJECTIVE:
To efficiently and compassionately lead the colleagues and activities of the shift to assure safe and efficient product output with only 100% quality product reaching our Finished Goods warehouse.
Summary of Duties, Responsibilities, Typical Activities and Assignments:
- Manage production priorities by assigning responsibilities to the direct labour colleagues and monitor productivity and product quality
- Ensure material flow practices are being followed and objectives are being met
- Prepare production reports, and production posting on internal ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning)
- Communicate effectively with peers, technical staff, quality and operational engineering to resolve production issues and improve manufacturing efficiencies
- Participate in daily production meetings and execute the shift priorities
- Manage the training program for direct reports – ensuring the process is progressing and documented
- Perform annual colleague performance reviews
- Hold colleagues responsible for HR and safety protocols and administer conflict resolution or disciplinary processes as necessary
- Participate actively in the joint health and safety committee and assure colleagues are in compliance to Zero Harm protocol
- Lead colleagues in 5S and Gemba activities.
- Recruitment activities for direct reports such as interviews, job offering and onboarding
- Other duties as specified.
Qualification Requirements:
- Possesses a high school diploma (or equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience, with previous supervisory experience.
- Computer literate in Microsoft Office
- Conflict resolution skills
- Able to work with a minimal amount of supervision
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: $50,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
