Fort Vermilion School Division

The Fort Vermilion School Division invites applications for the position of Numeracy Coordinator.

The Fort Vermilion School Division prioritizes student improvement in numeracy skills across all content areas. To implement strategies to strengthen and develop student skills, the division will be employing a Numeracy Coordinator for each individual school in the upcoming 2024-25 school year. The coordinators will be responsible for delivering literacy professional development within the School Division.

Duties:

Provide numeracy workshops

Provide in-class demonstrations and coaching

Develop professional development models

Required Qualifications:

Be in possession of, or eligible for, an Alberta teaching certificate

Have a minimum of 5 years teaching experience

The ability to work in a team environment and take direction

The ability to travel and demonstrate flexibility of schedule

The ability to facilitate numeracy professional development

Deep understanding of Numeracy Assessments

Preferred Qualifications:

Experienced in facilitating professional development to teachers

Previous instructional leadership experience

Completed or working on a Master's program in Curriculum/Instruction/Numeracy
