Job Description: In collaboration with the physicians and other health care professionals, the Primary Care Nurse Practitioner will provide primary health care services to Porcupine Plain and other communities in NE 8. This includes health assessment, health promotion and protection, disease and injury prevention and assessment, provision of supportive women's wellness, instructive treatment and emergency services. In collaboration with and referral to other health care professionals; conducting community needs assessments and participating in evaluation projects. This position will include some travel within the region. Job description is available upon request.
Required Qualifications
Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing preferred
Basic Life Support (BLS) - Level C Health Care Provider (HCP) - Heart & Stroke
Registered or eligible for registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS) as an RN (NP)
Valid Class 5 driver's license
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Public and human relation skills
Working knowledge in health promotion
Working knowledge of community needs assessment
