Working in long-term care is more than just a job; it is a calling for many of us.The Opportunity:This Nursing Unit Clerk is responsible for coordinating the daily staffing of the Nursing Department. This role assists in maintaining a safe and secure environment for residents, visitors, and other staff members.What Is In It For You:• Assists in the coordination of staffing and scheduling needs for the Nursing Department including replacement of staff on a daily "call in" basis and updating staffing changes on the Master Schedule and daily compliments.• Obtains approval for overtime work from the Director of Care.• Maintains attendance/absenteeism reports and communicates any recurrent absenteeism to the Director of Care.What You Will Need• Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent.• Post secondary education in a related field (e.g., Medical/Office Assistant) is considered an asset.• 1 – 3 years of previous experience working in a similar position.
