Job Description: In accordance with the mission, vision, and values of the Saskatchewan Health Authority and the Moose Jaw therapies department, reporting to a Primary Health Care Manager the Occupational Therapist Degree-Senior is accountable for the clinical supervision of the other staff working within the Moose Jaw Therapies Department. In addition, the incumbent may provide direct clinical Occupational Therapy services. These services will include individual, group and family education, assertive outreach, case management, and public education/consultation. The incumbent shall function within the practice principles of therapies department program management model and is accountable for delivery of services to clients within the former Five Hills Health Region.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor Degree in Occupational Therapy
Registered or eligible for registration with the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapy
Valid Class 5 driver's license
Experience
5 years of experience in field is desired
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to initiate, plan and conduct treatment groups and/or education for clients and in-service training for staff, caregivers, and other professionals
Conflict resolution skills to effectively handle difficult issues
Demonstrated skill in maintaining files and records
Excellent interpersonal, public relation and written and oral communication skills
Knowledge of community resources and the demonstrated ability to refer to, network, and work cooperatively with community agencies
Liaise with, collaborate, and provide consultation services to staff and other agencies
