Job Summary
The Inside Sales group supports customers by providing knowledgeable information, answering questions, and responding to complaints. We are the front-line support for the sales organization and our customers. Creating and maintaining positive relationships is an essential part of our job as such, we must respond to customers in a friendly and professional manner. Inside sales plays a fundamental role in achieving our ambitious customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives. The ideal candidate for the Office Supervisor will be a team-oriented individual with a strong, self-directed work ethic. In a busy work environment, the ability to manage staff, juggle multiple tasks and work under tight deadlines is a necessity. This is a full-time seasonal position with an annual winter lay-off. This key position within our organization will report to the Sales Support & Operations Manager.
RESPONSIBILITES
- Promote good customer relations by consistently providing premier customer satisfaction with a friendly demeanor, can-do attitude, and willingness to help at all times.
- Answer customer questions in a knowledgeable and timely manner.
- Support customers with their purchases, order entry and any future inquiries that arise.
- Enter, track and oversee quotes, orders and returns quickly and accurately.
- Communicate and serve our dealers and customers.
- Process orders for invoice processing and posting.
- Review outstanding orders to check for status change or non-committed product at time of entry.
- Complete all paperwork related to orders, transfers, returns, and missing shippers.
- Preparation, supervision and analysis of full yard count.
- Monthly resale inventory count, maintain miscellaneous adjustments and prepare reports as required.
- Maintain transfers of material to and from other locations as required.
- Perform daily administrative tasks to assist with maintaining the efficient operation of the team.
- Supervise staff and ensure they are conducting themselves in accordance with the Policies and Procedures set out in the Employee Handbook.
- Team management at your location (including any issues that arise requiring resolutions).
- Training of your team – including new staff, as well as ongoing training for existing staff.
- Maintain a productive and encouraging work environment where staff can thrive.
- Work closely with Sales Support Supervisors from other locations, attend supervisor meetings and cover during their absences.
- Communicate and work closely with yard staff, plant manager, Inside Sales and Operations Manager.
- Complete semi-annual performance reviews with your team.
- Other duties as assigned to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Exceptional customer service skills are required.
- Problem solving and math skills are required.
- Previous supervisory experience is required.
- Landscape or Construction experience would be an asset.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong computer skills, including but not limited to Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to manage competing priorities, work with strict deadlines, attend to projects, and work processes with excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to build effective relationships with all customers, management, and employees.
- Ability to work extra hours if required to complete tasks and to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Valid Ontario driver’s license.
- Applicants must be able to pass a pre-employment driver and criminal background check.
- Ability to lift 25 lbs.
