Assistant to Office Manager
Reports to: Office Manager and Owner
Purpose:
Evergreen Landscaping and Ferris Home Hardware is looking for an assistant to the office manager to help with day to day operations of both companies. The chosen candidate will work out of the Home Hardware location for both companies.
Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to the office manager
- Answer phone calls and emails
- Schedule appointments and maintain calendars
- Assist with filing, scanning, and organizing documents
- Perform data entry tasks and update databases
- Assist with billing and invoicing processes
- Assist with daily store operations (opening, closing, reports, cash balancing)
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in an office environment or retail setting is an asset
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in completing tasks
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
- Strong computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
