Job description

Connex Personnel is currently recruiting for 2 Offshore Logistics Coordinators on behalf of our client, Equinor Canada.

This is a contract role starting March 1, 2024, for approximately 8 months on a 4/4 rotation.

SUMMARY OF POSITION:
This position will be a rotational position based offshore Newfoundland in support of an exploration drilling project in the Flemish Pass. The position will report directly to the Onshore Logistics Lead (DSR) and will work with the onshore and offshore drilling teams to ensure all required personnel and materials are scheduled and safely delivered to support drilling operations. The position requires daily interface/coordination with the aviation & supply vessel providers for scheduling crew changes and cargo.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Ensures the safe and effective delivery of all onshore logistics support services and materials required to sustain offshore operations.
- Communicates daily with the drilling contractor on helicopter operations, vessel movements, and cargo / bulk requirements.
- Communicates daily with all contracted vessels providing updates on scheduled transit to and from the offshore.
- Communicates as required with the helicopter operator to ensure scheduled flights are available and on time.
- Works with offshore drilling supervisors, engineers, service companies, onshore logistics, and operations geologists to ensure the deep-water wells are drilled efficiently and safely.
- Maintaining continuous and effective communications with the Onshore Logistics Lead to ensure the effective scheduling, deployment and utilization of all logistics resources.
- Ensures optimum utilization of contracted logistics resources and support services to minimize costs and prevent interruption to drilling operations.
- Ensures that all materials and personnel are tracked in Company’s designated logistics tool, WELS Operator, to and from the rig.
- Assists with shipping / receiving manifests and transport of materials and personnel.
- Assists in the planning and management of all onshore marine and helicopter operations, personnel movements, crew changes and POB control on a daily basis.
- Coordinates the daily planner for all materials, personnel and vessel operations
- Liaison for onshore vendors to ensure that personnel, services, materials, equipment, etc. are available in the correct quantity and quality
- Direct coordination with onshore vendors as required.
- Prioritization of conflicting operational requirements to ensure those operational objectives are accomplished within the specified and critical path schedule.
- Promotes a positive awareness of the criticality of the logistics function, necessary planning, processes and best practices.
- Participates in the onboard safety program, safety meetings, complies and participates in investigations as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have at least 10 years’ experience in oil and gas industry

- Must have knowledge of CAPP standards for lifting & hoisting as well as DNV 2.7.1

- Must have knowledge of drilling tools and equipment

- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365

- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplined team in a high performance environment
- Experience working in a multi-disciplined environment with other functions i.e. geologists, reservoir engineers, drilling engineers, and logistics
- Certifications for travel offshore Newfoundland will be required for this position

- Previous use of PTS and/or Dawinci personnel booking system considered an asset.

- Previous use of WELS Operator Logistics Tool considered an asset.
