On Road Technician

Role Summary
Reporting to the Shop Foreman, the On Road Technician will be responsible for conducting general mechanical repairs on heavy equipment, snowplows, trucks, and trailers. Based out of our New Haven Shop and on the road from November to April, this role will perform various tasks including engine repairs, equipment servicing and upgrades.

What You’ll Do

• Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment.
• Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts.
• Review documentation and repair order to ensure accuracy.
• Clean, lubricate and perform other maintenance work.
• Perform repair work on snowplows and heavy trucks.
• Service attachments and working tools.
• Inspect repaired vehicles and test drive vehicles and equipment for proper handling.
• Maintain tools and shop cleanliness daily according to company standards.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

What You Bring

• 2+ years heavy equipment repair experience.
• Red Seal Certification considered an asset.
• Availability to be on call 24/7 through the winter months.
• Safety minded, always following the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
• Reliable, dependable, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Ability to handle a physically demanding role.
• Valid drivers license and own transportation.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $28.00-$32.00 per hour
