The Opportunity:
McElhanney – Recognized as one of Canada’s Top 100 Employers, has a rewarding opportunity for an individual to join our team as a One Call Coordinator in Red Deer, AB. In this role, you will be responsible for contacting and collaborating with ground disturbance operators and landowners to determine exact disturbance areas, proximity to pipelines, and summarizing results into a concise and professional letter and drawings.
The successful candidate will work within the Red Deer Branch, working with project managers, QAQC/Plan checkers and drafters on Upstream Oil & Gas, Renewable Energy and Land Development projects. This is an ideal opportunity for a talented individual to join our fast-paced team with opportunities to work on diversified projects.
What You’ll Be Doing:
  • Contact ground disturbance operators and landowners to determine exact work areas and proximity to pipelines.
  • Summarizing conversation into a concise and professional letter as well as following established practices and techniques to compile mapping and an accurate portrayal of work areas.
  • Assemble field packages to send to locators and client representatives.
  • Establish good rapport and build relationships with peers by responding to requests and communicating information in a timely manner.
  • Preform other related duties as required
What You’ll Bring:
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to problem solve, prioritize and manage time appropriately
  • Ability to work with Microsoft and Adobe is an asset.
  • Ability to work independently and within a busy and high-performing team.
  • Ability to multi-task, excellent organizational skills, communication skills, and attention to detail.
  • Must be able to work overtime during high volume seasons

The salary range for this position is $37,000 to $55,000 per annum. McElhanney offers fair compensation that is commensurate with the individual’s education, experience, skills, and professional qualifications. The posted base salary/wage range is representative of the required level of qualifications and experience for the position as noted in the job posting. The salary offered will be based on the experience and qualifications of the successful candidate.
