DSW, SSW, or PSW to support clients in home and the community. This is a direct support worker position .

Duties and Responsibilities

• To provide direct support to vulnerable individuals in home and the community.
• Community Outings and activities on a daily basis that are catered to the clients interest and needs.
• Assist in light household duties, such as cleaning, meals, bathing, medication administration. Behavioral patterns, and day to day documentation.

Qualifications:

• Must have a diploma or a degree in the social sector. Must have CPI training, first aid and CPR, Vulnerable sectors check and experience with behavioral strategies.
• A valid G drivers license and insurance.
• This is a sub-contractors position with part time hours to start. Some weekends are required along with shift work from morning to early evenings.
• The shifts can be from 4 hours to 8 hours with one or more clients.
• Looking for 2years or more experience working in the field of social services and vulnerable individuals.
• This position DOES require driving on a daily basis.
• Hourly rate starts at 22.00- 25.00 with paid breaks and some (KM) reimbursement.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Salary: $22.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 25 per week

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed

Experience:

• Social service: 2 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

• First Aid Certification (required)
• V.S.S (Vulnerable Sector screening) (preferred)
• Class G Licence (preferred)
• Car Insurance (preferred)

Ability to Commute:

• Simcoe County, ON (required)
