Job description

This position reports directly to Director of Operations and will have a high level of collaboration with Production, Sanitation and Maintenance.

Inovata Foods Corp.is looking for an Operations Co-Ordinator to partner with us as we bring families and friends together through offering wholesome and convenient meals. The role is located in our Tillsonburg, Ontario facility. Inovata Foods Corp. is a major producer of wholesome control brand frozen meals for many of North America's largest retailers.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Production scheduling (Production main line, Cabbage Rolls, Packaging, Kitchen).
  • Vacation/time off request tracking and following up regarding required documentation for Production, Maintenance, and Sanitation.
  • Additional weekend shift planning/scheduling as needed for Production, and Sanitation.
  • Review hourly employee attendance records daily and prepare or request discipline as required for Production, Sanitation, and Maintenance.
  • Batch sheet paperwork preparation (daily).
  • Prepare and print spice unit requirements and communicate out to team (daily).
  • GMP disciplinary tracking- Production, Maintenance, Sanitation.
  • Control and implementation of the knife control program.
  • Control and implementation of the probe control program.
  • Produce and provide cabbage roll rack info (coloured tags).
  • Identify recruitment needs for production and sanitation (vacancies, postings required, etc...).
  • Maintain the production related communication board in hallway with current information.
  • Track and assign performance review completion for all new hires for Production, Sanitation, and Maintenance.
  • Set up performance improvement plans (PIP's) and arrange mentoring for Production, and Sanitation.
  • Readying appropriate PPE for new employees ahead of their start date for Production and Sanitation.
  • Inventory and ordering of supplies – thermometers, PPE, knives/blades, other items as required for Production and Sanitation.
  • Weekly ordering of items required as per cage count.
  • Submit job transfer requests to payroll as needed.
  • Review hourly staff worked hours in a timely manner as requested by payroll administrator for Production, Sanitation, Maintenance.
  • Maintain up to date WIP inventory list.
  • Create and update WIM's (Work Instructions) as required.
  • Organize and follow up on competition of all training records as required by Director of Operations and Quality Assurance.
  • Assist with Health & Safety administration requirements pertaining to Production, Sanitation, Maintenance.
  • Manage the annual SOP review program for Sanitation.
  • Submit all work order requests requested by the managers in Production and Sanitation
  • Other suitable tasks and duties as assigned by Director of Operations.

Requirements:

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft 360 programs (Outlook, Excel, Work, Teams, etc.)
  • Supervisory experience.
  • Administrative skills.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Must be reliable, detail-orientated, and have the ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to work alone and/or in a team.
  • Conflict resolution training.
  • Production experience is an asset.
