Operations Coordinator (F/T)

Durabond is at the forefront of innovative changes in the Facilities Management Industry. As part of these exciting changes and extraordinarily successful growth, Durabond is eagerly looking for an Operations Coordinator focused on developing and maintaining relationship with new and potential customers.

Position Overview:

Our Head Office is based in Burlington, ON. This is a Hybrid opportunity.

Please note this position requires the candidate to travel within the GTA region, to manage current and new contracts with a flexible schedule.

The Operations Coordinator is responsible for managing all matters related to their specific portfolio. This includes excellent customer service with clients, implementing training and development to new and current staff members, leading team meetings with supervisors, scheduling and managing employee hours, as well as other assigned duties.

Working for Durabond will lead to lots of room for advancement and growth! The role of Operations Coordinator would transition over to Operations Manager, along with a salary increase.

The key focus and responsibilities include:

  • Managing regional portfolio locations by utilizing external contractors and employees
  • Working alongside and coordinating with the Operations Manager team in order to achieve successful business growth
  • Providing high standard customer service to current and potential clients
  • Act as the internal subject matter expert and trusted advisor to internal and external stakeholders
  • Accurately applying problem solving techniques to client issues surrounding janitorial maintenance that meets the client’s expectations
  • Ensures adherence to standards for environmental and safety policies related to building maintenance
  • Fosters relationships with key stakeholders including business leaders and vendor groups
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies, procedures and contractual requirements.
  • Promote a safe work environment and ensure all personnel and contractors follow WHMIS and Health and Safety requirements
  • Champion for motivation and teamwork
  • Proactive in recognizing problem areas and applying techniques to properly problem solve

Job Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of facilities management
  • Demonstrated practice of maintaining several site locations
  • Demonstrated track record of successful goal achievement
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to manage and motivate others
  • Ability to make competent decisions in emergency situations
  • Proven experience problem-solving, communicating tasks, and training others
  • Proven ability to analyse and interpret data to make sound professional recommendations and improvements
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Willingness to travel within the GTA and Southern Ontario region
  • Willingness to work after 5:00pm and weekends when needed
  • Valid G License
