About the Role

This role covers a range of activities, the primary purpose of this position is to supplement existing Asset Information Management capacity to progress value associated for the Asset based at Kitimat B.C.

To succeed with us in IMIT Department, we need your enthusiasm to:

  • Support the delivery of Document Control Service for the Asset
  • Ensure the adherence to the Asset specifications and procedures as they pertain to the Company and Contractor(s) delivery.
  • Enable more value through continuous improvement, process simplification and quality assurance.
  • Ensuring Contractor(s) adherence to Company defined Specifications and Procedures (timely delivery, quality assurance, Company reviews); updating as required based on agreed Contractor(s) clarifications.
  • Supporting the Asset team in the processing of documents
  • Improving and ensuring adherence to Company Document Control specifications and procedures for ongoing transmittals, document quality assurance and quality control, correspondence, and archiving procedures
  • Informal leadership delegate when required for Document Control team’s operational processes and delivery.
  • Driving improvements within Document Control and broader IM scope through leadership, standards, behaviors, and innovation using IM solutions (Assai Cloud, SharePoint, etc.)
  • Support the Document Control Lead in day-to-day operations of the document processing
  • Learning mindset to continuously improve, optimize, and simplify document control activities and services across multiple locations, and multiple MOCs or Brownfield projects.
  • Working and communicating effectively in a highly virtualized environment in a geographically diverse and multicultural team
  • Mentoring various disciplines on the Asset to ensure they follow the information specifications, standards, and procedures.
  • Help champion the successful use of digital IM solutions to enable effective and efficient document management and document control.

To be successful, you will have:

  • Substantial experience in Information Management in Assets or Capital Projects
  • Previous experience as Document Controller is preferred.
  • Experience working with Assai Cloud as a document control document management tool would be an asset.
  • Working experience with Aveva, Kongsberg Digital Twin, SharePoint, and Power BI
  • Breadth and depth of knowledge in cross-discipline engineering documents (requirements and use cases) and technical review/approval workflow
  • Knowledge of Records Management principles and implementation methods
  • A university degree in Engineering, Science or Information Technology or equivalent
  • 5+ years’ experience working on a Major Capital project or Asset in an IM related roles
  • Willingness to take ownership and motivate team to deliver combined with willingness to perform hands-on work.
  • Provide support to Asset Document Control Lead on various initiatives including but not limited to application deployment/testing, gap analysis, process improvement and communication to stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to details and good time management skills
  • Experience working with a geographically diverse team.
  • A high degree of skill in written and oral communications
  • Strong influencing skills, including virtually.
  • Ability to work flex hours to accommodate various locations.

This role requires that you:

  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada (i.e., by way of Canadian citizenship, permanent residency, or valid work permit).
  • Know that this role is based in Kitimat, BC.
  • Relocate to Kitimat/Terrace, BC.
  • Know that during the Execute phase you will work Monday to Friday 40 hrs. plus/week.
  • During Operate: 40 Hours/week.
  • Are willing to comply with LNGC’s drug-free and harassment-free work environment and comply with all safety policies and procedures.
  • Undergo a pre-placement medical assessment of your fitness for duty, a background check, and Pre-Site Access testing for alcohol and specified drugs.
  • Have a Valid Driver’s license.
  • Know that this is not a fly-in, fly-out rotation role.
