Operator 1 (Dz Driver)

Sylvite is a multinational, privately owned, business headquartered in Burlington Ontario providing critical products and services in the agricultural and transportation sectors.

· Agriculture – Sylvite provides a full supply chain solution for crop input products such as fertilizer, seed and pesticides.

Primary Function:

· Responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the plant functions (filling, stacking, bulk loading, production support and fork truck operations).

· Primary responsibilities shipping & receiving.

Delivery/Pickup of Loads:

· Arrive at customer location at specified time.

· Load & unload packaged products with forklift onto or off of trucks.

· Maintain professionalism and a customer service attitude towards customers or truck drivers when delivering or picking up products at the branch.

Site Operations:

· Assist in receiving trucks, (or railcars and vessels where applicable) of fertilizer, seed, chemicals or other products as required.

· Support other operators for blending and loading of outbound trucks.

· Perform routine clean up and maintenance of the site.

· Works efficiently on own or within a team environment.

· Adhere to all health, safety and environmental regulations.

· All PPE must be worn as required & prescribed.

· All near miss, incidents, accidents & injuries must be reported to the Plant Supervisor immediately.

· Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Education, Experience and / or Training Requirements:

· 1+ year fertilizer blending experience.

· 1+ year loading/unloading service experience.

· 1 year verifiable experience as a DZ Driver.

· Forklift certificate is considered an asset.

· Good CVOR and abstract
